Both days of Summer Sonic. After a night of torrential rain, the Marine Stage floor on Saturday was a lake and my socks never recovered. The Departure were my band of the day, I screamed through the opening riff of Smoke on the Water, and Nine Inch Nails closed the night: Trent Reznor turned up shaven-headed and muscular, and The Hand That Feeds was enormous. On Sunday I held on at the front for HIM, watched Ville Valo work through cans of Sapporo mid-set, and got the band's autographs on my arm as no. 29 of 30 at the signing.

During Starfuckers, Inc., the crowd kept singing the "don't you" part and wouldn't stop, leaving Trent Reznor laughing. Two years later, at Studio Coast in Tokyo (20 May 2007), he threw the mic into the audience mid-song so they could sing it.
「Starfuckers, Inc.」에서 관객들이 "don't you" 부분을 멈추지 않고 계속 불러서 트렌트 레즈너가 어쩔 줄 몰라 웃었다는 기록. 이 장면이 트렌트에게 깊이 남았는지, 2년 뒤(2007.5.20) 도쿄 Studio Coast 공연에서 그 곡 중간에 마이크를 객석에 던져 관객이 "don't you"를 부르게 했다고 함 (NIN Wiki 2007/05/20)
